Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located in the area of Baidingpu to the east of the Kangma County town, Tibet. It was named by Zhang Binggao in 1974.
Lithology and Thickness
Claystone. Grey knotted slate. Thickness is about 100 m.

Fossils
Yields a small amount of brachiopods as represented by Martinia, Attenuatella, Linoproductus, Stenoscisma, etc., whose stratigraphic horizon is corresponding to that of the Qubu Fm in the Himalayan stratigraphic region, belonging to the Qixia’an Subepoch of the Yangsingian Epoch.
